Math Symbol Toolkit is maintained under the Chevee Math Tools name. The same project maintains the structured datasets, static-site generator, browser tools, tutorials, translations, release checks, and correction workflow.
What we claim—and what we do not
We publish as an independent educational reference. We do not claim a university affiliation, standards-body role, or professional credential that has not been publicly documented. Mathematical authority comes from transparent sourcing, reproducible examples, declared limitations, automated validation, and editorial review—not from an invented title.
Editorial responsibilities
The editorial process checks whether a page answers a distinct user task, uses consistent terminology, explains ambiguity, includes a concrete example, identifies mistakes, and links to relevant primary or established references. Automated checks enforce the required fields; a recorded manual review describes only the scope actually inspected.
Mathematical review
Definitions and notation are checked against the most relevant source family. Unicode character identity is checked against Unicode data; web mathematics and MathML against W3C documentation; LaTeX syntax against established documentation and the bundled renderer; application instructions against vendor documentation; and mathematical explanations against established educational references. When conventions differ by field, the page must explain the ambiguity instead of presenting one convention as universal.
Tool review
Index-eligible browser tools must record representative inputs, expected outputs, edge conditions, malformed-input behavior, copy/export limits, and an independent result check. A tool page states the exact declared scope; the label does not imply exhaustive testing on every browser or device. For example, the equation solver supports specific one-variable linear and quadratic forms and is not presented as a general computer algebra system.
Spanish localization review
Only selected Spanish pages are eligible for indexing. Those pages contain a complete localized answer, examples or usage guidance, verification notes, reciprocal language links, and a recorded review date. Remaining Spanish previews stay noindex until they meet the same standard.
Corrections and change records
Readers can submit a correction through the contact page. Useful reports include the page URL, the disputed statement or output, the expected result, relevant software version, and a reliable source. Material changes update the page date and, when appropriate, the change summary.
